More Cowbell: Good or Bad?
A good friend of mine recently forwarded a link to a video clip of the full "Behind The Music: Blue Öyster Cult" sketch from Saturday Night Live, better known as the "More Cowbell" sketch. It's considered one of the show's all-time classics. But it started me thinking. I wonder whether the sketch made life better or worse for Blue Öyster Cult? On the one hand, there's the conventional Hollywood wisdom that there's no such thing as bad publicity. On the other, there's the reality that wayyyy too many idiots now think it would be the pinnacle of humor to crash the stage with a cowbell and a drumstick. In order to determine the truth, of course I decided to turn to the wisdom of The Internet:
So give a hoot! Take my poll. Amuse me and yourself!
