A Little About Paris Las Vegas
Paris has 2,916 guest rooms in its four-wing, 34-story hotel tower. The front of the property features tacky scale models of the Arc de Triomphe, the Place de la Concorde and a 1/4 scale replica of the Eiffel Tower. For $10, you can take the elevator ride to the top of the tower. If at all possible, try to time your tour so you can see the Fountains of Bellagio across the street and you might actually feel like your $10 wasn't wasted. Once you get past the fake landmarks and high prices, all similarities to the genuine continental experience end. The service is unremarkable; not rude like genuine French service, but not nearly as good as what you find at Caesar's. All the little faux French touches get old pretty quick. The mimes will piss you off by the third time one approaches you. The Shopping Mall between Paris and Bally's is good for a laugh since you'd have to have roughly ten times as much money as sense to buy anything there. The casino is stiflingly pretentious, the only place in Las Vegas where I've ever felt under-dressed to play craps. Not that you'd want to play there anyway, since the limits are usually about $10 and the rules are as bad as you'll find in any casino that's not in international waters.
