A Little About Slots-A-Fun
Slots-A-Fun couldn't be more aptly named. The cheesy, outdated, "carnival midway for adults with gambling problems" image conjured up by it is pretty much dead on. Slots-A-Fun is strictly a gaming establishment, it has no hotel rooms and food is pretty much limited to a snack bar. There is a single craps table located at the front entrance and a small table game pit with a couple dozen tables or so. The table limits fall below $5 with great regularity. Cocktail service is OK, but nothing to write home about. Slots-A-Fun sometimes has single-deck blackjack, but the limit is usually $5. Slots-A-Fun was originally built by Circus Circus on the spot where a carousel is supposed to have once stood.

Aside from the low-stakes action, the real attraction at Slots-A-Fun is the crowd. Welcoming anyone and everyone who wanders in off the street, Slots-A-Fun is a wierdo-magnet. The craps table, in particular, draws in everyone from grizzled locals looking for a cheap fix to high-stakes players on their way to Stardust who have a money spasm. Slots-A-Fun also gets more than its share of underage kids trying to sneak in, so if you look young for your age, bring an ID.
