A Little About Harrah's Las Vegas
It's Mardi Gras all year long at Harrah's. At least a very expensive version of Mardi Gras, filled with creepy clowns and color schemes so ugly and garish that it borders on criminal. A life-size statue of a Harlequin guards each of the main entrances to the casino, and they will give you the willies if you have any leftover childhood hang-ups about clowns. Harrah's was originally a Holiday Inn, and the hotel rooms reportedly haven't changed a great deal in terms of size or amenities, but have increased dramatically in price. Harrah's currently has 1,715 rooms and the casino is roughly 80,000 square feet in size. Harrah's tends to attract a crowd between their twenties and forties.

The casino at Harrah's features all the slots, video machines, keno and table games you could want. Don't expect to see limits below $5 on the table games, though. In spite of its considerable size, the casino feels very cramped. Sandwiched between Harrah's and Flamingo is Carnival Court, an outdoor bar that features free entertainment on nights and weekends.
